After many film filled months and 50 destinations, the Flickerfest touring caravan of shorts is winding its way to its final stops for 2016!

From small country towns through the endless desert to our vibrant cities and to the Great Barrier Reef, it has been a wonderful journey celebrating our 25th year as a festival and we send a big thank you to all who have supported Flickerfest and this years’ filmmakers as we journeyed from town to town.

But it’s not over just yet! Flickerfest will head to Darwin this Friday 6 May at the beautiful Deckchair Cinema. Screening across the evening are two films by NT filmmakers, including Dylan Rivers NULLA NULLA and Dena Curtis’s NAN AND A WHOLE LOT OF TROUBLE.
Catch Dylan live this Friday morning when he chats with triple j’s Matt & Alex!

Lock yourself into our Darwin Friday night shorts marathon with two sessions, at 7.30pm and 9.30pm and thanks to our wonderful partner Little Creatures Brewing enjoy a complimentary cold beverage under the barmy Darwin stars!

Flickerfest then heads west for its final 3 stops for 2016 – all in WA!

On Friday the 13th, Bunbury guests will be spoilt with an introduction by local filmmaker and producer of KARROYUL, Jaclyn Hewer as well as two of the local stars of MAAP MORDAK, Lynette Narkle and Cheyenne Carter. Flickerfest is thrilled to be showcasing these two wonderful WA made shorts on tour!

Up in the farthest corner of WA Flickerfest is also thrilled to be stampeding into theKununurra Picture Garden with our much loved Australian Shorts programme as part of the Ord Valley Muster on Sunday the 15th of May. Here MAAP MORDAK will be lighting up the screen again returning to its Kimberley region roots.

And last but certainly not least Flickerfest will reach its final tour stop for 2016 screening two programmes in Kalgoorlie at the Town Hall.  At 3pm, bring your family to FlickerKids and catch the best family-friendly short films around, including this years Oscar® winning film BEAR STORY from Chile! Later that evening at 6pm, enjoy the ever-popular Best of Australian Shorts!

Thank you for joining us as we travel around the country for 2016!
