    A little girl falls victim to a gang of shadowy bullies… until she discovers that her love of daisy chains unlocks a power that will bring light to the darkness of the playground. (screening out of competition)

    Pauline is the full-time mother and carer for her mentally and developmentally disabled adult son Nathan. After years of isolation and anhedonia Pauline orchestrates a ruse to form a meaningful connection with the man next door.

    They were Australia’s bad days. Men killed other men and laughed. All that was left for the children of the dead was to remember; if they had the strength.

  • Lorne

    Lorne, a wasteland traveller dealing with the oppressing boundaries of isolation, is confronted by a mysterious stranger, who helps him realise his existential fears.

    Shan and Kate are the youth of Australia circa 1996, the MTV generation. Shan and Kate is the common but often misrepresented tale of two young girls and their life affirming friendship. Growing up is hard. You need your best mate.

    1969. Two young hippies accidentally run over a dog belonging to a family of proud war veterans.

  • The Crossing

    A stop-motion animation created using salt and sand grains. A sea captain risks the lives of his men when he decides to change course, taking his ship through a violent storm. In the aftermath, he finds that he is the sole survivor, and fights to survive both body and mind.

  • Crush

    Crush is a drama about Anelise, a 16-year-old girl whose best friends are missing and wanted for murder. Anelise must come to terms with the fact that her two best friends might be the killers and that Toby, the boy she loves, may have caused it all.
