Wonderful Wednesday – Whats on today + highlights of Tremendous Thursday!

HIGHLIGHTS OF WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY

Tonight we have another wonderful programme of shorts all in competition for our big prizes at the festival.

Kicking off at 6:30pm, when our esteemed International Jury will be back in house with our Best Of International 5 programme featuring The Neighbours Window and Daughter both are nominated for an Oscar; and the fabulous Are You Hungry? a crazy comedy from Finnish director Teemu Niukkanen which is also selected for Sundance.

Then at 8:45pm our Australian jury are making the tough decisions with Best of Australian 7 which features the World Premiere of Trapped from writer/director Tony Bosch which will world premiere after 26 years in production starring Mark Lee from Gallipoli and don’t miss Backpedal from writer/director Dani Pearce, the only Australian short selected to screen at Sundance.

COMING UP- TREMENDOUS THURSDAY AT FLiCKERFEST!!!

Tomorrow we have two fantastic programmes, kicking of at 6:30pm, when we add a bit of colour to the beach with our fantastic Rainbow Shorts programme curated by award winning filmmaker Craig Boreham screening this year in competition for our inaugural Azure Productions Award for Best Rainbow Short. Rub Shoulders with filmmaker Alfie Dale when his film My Brother Is A Mermaid has its Aussie premiere right here at the festival.

Then at 8:45pm, come down to the first of our delightful two programmes about the joys and pitfalls of modern relationships when Love Bites 1 premieres at the festival. Programme highlights include My Planet from writer/director: Valery Carnoy about a baker in his fifties who suffers from failed love with his wife and Jealous Alan, from Director Martin Clark who is a guest of the festival and starring Kate Dickie (Game Of Thrones) about Alan who discovers his best friend Stuart and Angela are secretly dating only to find that jealousness drives him to foil it.
