COVID-Safe

COVID-Safe at FLiCKERFEST 2024

Updated 12th Jan 2023

Our aim is to make this Flickerfest a celebration of the best of short films from at home and across the world and the enjoyable and safe film festival event you’ve been longing for!

Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of all of our Flickerfest audience, participating filmmakers, industry and team. To ensure that we keep everyone as safe as is reasonably possible Flickerfest is operating in accordance with NSW Health Guidelines and our own COVID Safety Plan.

While holding a large part of our screenings outdoors is a great starting place we are determined to go the extra step to protect the health of our guests and staff.

We will require that all staff and guests aged 16 years and over entering the Flickerfest venue are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (unless medically exempt). Under 16s not fully vaccinated must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult.

All guests will be required to present proof of vaccination upon arrival. If you do not wish to provide proof of vaccination, we reserve the right to not admit you to Flickerfest.

We will have Covid Safe check in via our QR code on entrance to the Flickerfest Garden which we required by all patrons.

The audience capacity of our indoor Spiegeltent cinema will be 75% in order to ensure all patrons comfort and safety. Masks are also mandatory for our indoor Spiegeltent cinema for those aged 12 and up at all times and at any stage at our venue where safe social distancing cannot be maintained & will be made available on entry for all of our patrons. Our Outdoor Lawn cinema has seats in place at a safe distance to encourage all patrons comfort and safety.

Flickerfest uses 100% fresh air from outside our Spiegeltent indoor theatre, which is then cooled and distributed throughout our air-conditioning. By using 100% fresh air Flickerfest reduces the risk of COVID circulating inside the venue.

COVID Safe Hygiene Marshals & Signage
Our staff will be trained in COVID Safe procedures and in addition to this we’ll have Safe Hygiene Marshals stationed across the event, to help make sure all aspects of our COVID Safe Plan are being maintained. Flickerfest will follow strict hygiene protocols and all of our venues and shared areas will be cleaned regularly between each film session.

It’s Really Important You Don’t Attend Flickerfest If You:
• are unwell or, if in the last 72 hours, have been unwell with fever or respiratory symptoms (including cough or sore throat).
• have been in contact with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case in the past 7 days.
• are waiting on a COVID-19 test.

• if you are unable to attend due to COVID related illness, we will try and find you a ticket for an alternative session. Otherwise we will refund the cost of your ticket.

Note:
We are a cashless event and you will need your credit or debit card, so please ensure you bring this with you.
