Louis is a disarmingly quiet 7-year-old boy who lives with his father in a glass house in the Australian Bush. Louis’ Father is busy and preoccupied by everyday things but is forced to stop and take notice of his son when he sees strange markings on the young boy’s hands. Louis whispers that he cannot tell his father what made the marks, only show him. Thus father and son begin a journey through the bush that will change them forever. THE GIFT evokes the mystery and menace of the Australian landscape while at the same time exploring the transformative power of familial love.
