MARVELLOUS MONDAY AT FLiCKERFEST
Flickerfest 2022 is in full swing so celebrate the new week in the Flickerfest Lawn cinema under the stars and in the Famous Spiegeltent at Bondi Beach, with some fabulous programmes on offer over the coming week.
Today at the festival catch two more amazing programmes of International and Australian shorts in competition, all vying for our Academy® Qualifying short film awards. At 630pm catch an incredible international selection including the masterful black comedy ‘Leave To Remain‘ where things go wild at the UK ‘s visa and immigration services and at 9pm another stellar Australian lineup of highlights including the Australian Pixar inspired comedy ‘It Sets You Free‘.
Flickerfest is a COVID Safe event and we are following government health guidelines to give you a safe and fabulous festival. You can read about the festival’s COVID safe plan here.
If you are unable to attend due to COVID related illness, we will try and find you a ticket for an alternative session. Otherwise, we will refund the cost of your ticket.

TERRIFIC TUESDAY AT FLiCKERFEST
Join us at the beach on Tuesday and check out our Best of International 4 programme, an incredible collection of 9 films that will take you on a journey across the world. Highlights include the Australian premiere of Suzannah Mirghani’s Al-Sit from Sudan, a stunning and powerful short film that takes us into an exotic world of a cotton farming family and their daughter, who has her own ideas regarding her destiny, currently taking the International film festival world by storm.

See some of our most talented next generation Australian filmmakers in our Best of Australian 6 programme including the World Premiere of Learning The Curvature Of The Earth from director Vivienne Mazey Smith and starring Josh McConville (Wakefield, Fantasy Island) which explores gender in the workplace of the outdoor adventure film industry through the eyes of an adventurous film school grad who lands her first job as the only female member on an outdoor adventure TV camera crew.

Budding filmmakers! Join us online from wherever you are in the world as we present FlickerLab virtually in 2022 in partnership with FanForce. Listen and engage as our panelists guide you through the joys and challenges of film and Tv creation, absorb essential tips and knowledge and be inspired on your own creative journey in FlickerLab, our one-day journey from shorts to long form content presented by SAE Institute Australia.
