Welcome to DAY 9 of the festival!First up today, an explosion of youthful creativity in FlickerUp. This session showcases the brilliant works made through our National Schools Competition by primary and secondary students and filmmakers under 18 years of age. The skills of this next gen of filmmakers will leave you impressed. In the afternoon we’re taking a look at the world around us in GreenFlicks, our session dedicated to shorts with an environmental theme. If global warming is getting you down come and be inspired by these important shorts.

As the sun goes down we will relive some of Flickerfest’s favourite films in our very special
25th Anniversary Retrospective. Featuring the early works of our alumni, some of Australia’s brightest cinema stars, including Wayne Blair, Jennifer Kent, Nash Edgerton, David Michôd, Cate Shortland and more.

Later in the evening, grab the one you love and snuggle into a beanbag for our sexy date night session Love Bites, a journey through the ups and downs of modern love from all around the world. Love is definitely in the air tonight on Bondi Beach.
