SENSATIONAL SATURDAY AT FLiCKERFEST
Don’t miss the final screenings at Flickerfest this weekend. Join us in the beautiful Bondi Pavilion for our incredible collection of the best short films from across the world and our own backyard, all complimented by a delicious beverage from our beachside festival bar.
At 1:30 pm check out the FlickerKids Shorts programme, that will appeal to the kid in everyone. From a chameleon that doesn’t fit in with the other animals to a tiger, who is supposed to perform a daring circus trick, but is too scared to go through with it!
At 4pm come and see the filmmakers of tomorrow at our national SAE FlickerUp Youth Shorts
for filmmakers 18 years and under. You’ll be amazed at the creativity and and exceptional storytelling of this up and coming generation.
At 6:30 pm our Best Of EU Shorts Showcase screens in partnership the Delegation of the European Union to Australia. From the Oscar nominated film IVALU, which boasts beautiful cinematography of the Denmark scenery, to the incredibly funny AirHostess-737, which follows a flight attendant as she realises the plane is carrying her mother’s dead body..
At 9pm, kick back in our alfresco cinema under the stars (or inside, if it rains!) and enjoy some fabulously upbeat comedy favourites in Short Laughs Comedy 2, featuring Oscar nominated My Year of Dicks and other Festival favourites like Born to Cry.
