FANTASTIC FRIDAY AT FLiCKERFEST
From 10am today, Flickerfest will present FlickerLab our exciting film and TV industry event taking place at the Bondi Pavilion.
At 6PM Join Rainbow Shorts curator Craig Boreham for his annual programme of queer shorts, celebrating LGBTIQ+ stories from around the world, which includes award winning films from Cannes and TIFF.
Struggling to find a date night idea? Want to see some uplifting and heartwarming shorts. At 9PM, don’t missFlickerfest’s LoveBites Shorts. This programme will take you through the joys and pitfalls of modern relationships and is a great end to your working week.

At 1:30PM check out the delightful FlickerKids programme that will appeal to families with younger children – but realistically it’s for the kid in everyone!
Haven’t you always wanted to know what a Smortlyback is? Well, today you finally find out! The Smortlybacks Come Back is part of the best kids programme we’ve EVER had at Flickerfest, and will leave you with that warm, fuzzy feeling inside as you leave the cinema.
SAE FLiCKERUP SHORTS
At 4PM check out the next generation of Australian filmmakers when our SAE FlickerUp Youth Shorts programme premieres at the beach. These short films are from our national youth competition for school students or filmmakers aged 18 years and under.

BEST OF EU SHORTS SHOWCASE
You don’t want to miss Saturday Night at 6:30PM as our Best Of EU Shorts Showcase will have you travelling all across Europe from the comfort of your cinema seat!
Catch IVALU, Just Oscar nominated this week for Best Live Action Short, an outstanding drama from previous Academy Award winning Danish Director Anders Walter. ‘Ivalu’ is screening amongst an outstanding array of 9 incredible films from the European Union, thanks to our programme partners the European Union Delegation To Australia.

At 9PM laugh your way into the night at our Short Laughs Comedy 2 Showcase.
Another Oscar nomination headlines this great selection of hilarious films – My Year Of Dicks, from director Sara Gunnarsdóttir, about a young woman who who tries very hard to lose her virginity and experiences some extremely funny moments in her search for “the one”.
