FLiCKERFEST 2016: The National Tour kicks off!

Flickerfest hits the road on our biggest National Tour ever- first stop Byron Bay region this weekend!

Our 25th Festival in Sydney was a huge success and now Flickerfest takes it on tour, winding our way across the country on our 50+ venue national tour.

All around Australia from Broome to Byron Bay, from Esperance to the Whitsundays and everywhere else in between, the national tour screens an entertaining, inspiring and award-winning range of the best films, celebrating 25 years of hot shorts.

FIRST STOP
The tour launches in the Byron Bay shire in Mullumbimby with an action-packed three-day event at the Mullumbimby Civic Hall from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24 January 2016. Join us for a wonderful Opening Night with films from across the globe and a catered pre-screening party to start the night off!

And don’t miss FlickerLab on Saturday afternoon when acclaimed director and actor Wayne Blair (The Sapphires) gives the lowdown on making and directing films. (FREE).  Wayne joins fellow filmmakers Lois Randall and actor Tony Barry on the jury for the local competition Byron All Shorts at 3pm, followed by Best of Australian Shorts at 7.30pm featuring Nan and a Whole Lot of Trouble (produced by Lois Randall) and other fine films.
