We are thrilled to share our official Flickerfest 2021 Festival trailer with you. Featuring a modern-day Satine & Christian, our ode to Baz Luhrmann’s iconic Moulin Rouge seems the perfect nod to our glam new 2021 beachside venue – The Famous Spiegeltent!
Our Flickerfest 2021 trailer is written & directed by Flickerfest alumni Rebekah Jackson, & produced by Elaine Beckett of Trackdown and Angus Young of Brew Casa, our Moulin Rouge tribute features the wonderful talents of Tysan Towney, Ariane Sallis & Stephen Hunter and was made possible by some incredible supporters including Trackdown Studios, Spectrum Films, The Solid State, Brewcasa Creative, Panavision & Chicken & Chips Casting with photography by Alina Gozina.
Supported by Waverley Council, Flickerfest will debut its all new pop up location on the lawn at Bondi Beach from 22nd though to the 31st January 2021 before touring over 45 venues across Australia between February and October. Due to renovations to Bondi Pavilion, Flickerfest 2021 will be housed in a fun bespoke festival garden which will include The Famous Spiegeltent for indoor screenings, an outdoor deckchair cinema under the stars and a bespoke garden bar serving delicious food and beverages. This new, larger venue will allow the same size audience as previous years to attend while still observing social distancing regulations ensuring a safe and enjoyable flickerfest experience in 2021 for all of our patrons.
