Flickerfest On Road To Newcastle, Brisbane & Beyond

FLiCKERFEST COMING TO NEWCASTLE, BRISBANE AND BEYOND!

The Flickerfest Tour is well underway and following an amazing capacity screening of our Best Of Melbourne Shorts in Melbourne including a great after party with many filmmakers in attendance!  Following the Best Of EU Shorts screening in Melbourne this evening, we are on the road once again, stopping off at Newcastle this weekend!

First up is the Best Of Australian Shorts programme which will include Melon Grab, staring Novocastrian skateboarder Noah Regan.  The film was shot in and around Newcastle by Central Coast cinematographer Dane Howell who was awarded Best Cinematography in an Australian Short Film at our awards ceremony in Bondi in January.

Following on in our Short Laughs Comedy programme is the winner of our Academy® Accredited Best Australian Short Film On Hold.  This delightful musical was Directed and Composed by the Newcastle raised Jake Nielsen and Matthew Predny who studied together at the Hunter School Of The Performing Arts!

Thanks to our generous sponsors there will be a party in between the two screenings giving you the chance to come and rub shoulders with the rising stars of Australian short film!

From Newcastle we are criss-crossing New South Wales to BarrabaGunnedahCrescent HeadKempsey and South West Rocks and heading north to Brisbane, Toowoomba and Noosa and all the way across to Hopetoun, WA Phew!!
