Upcoming Tour Highlights

ImageOn the Gold Coast – We are excited to be screening in this Friday’s programme of Flickerfest shorts at The Arts Centre Gold Coast the locally produced “Je Suis Un Crayon” by Gold Coast filmmakers Joe and Carol D’Arcy, inspired by 3 million people in France who marched for unity, peace and freedom of expression; and “The Meek“, written and directed by Queenslander Joseph Brumm and featuring a beautiful score by The Cat Empire‘s Ollie Mcgill.

ImageFLiCKERFEST Newcastle – Included alongside the hugely popular Best of Australian Shorts programme will be local Novocastrian filmmaker, Andrew Gallagher’s short, The Lake, a thriller shot in the Hunter region, straight from competition at the Flickerfest festival in Sydney. Andrew will be at the screening to introduce his film and meet the audience.

ImageToowoomba’s February Film Feast –  Bring a blanket or a deckchair and kick back on the Empire Church Lawn for a weekend of great movies, kids workshops and our Flickerfest Australian and international short film programmes. The full weekend program is here.
