Tremendous Thursday – Whats on today + highlights of Fabulous Friday!

It might be rainy out there but its super cosy and dry in our indoor theatre and tonight at Flickerfest we add a bit of colour to the beach at 6:30pm with our fantastic Rainbow Shorts programme curated by award winning filmmaker Craig Boreham screening this year in competition for our inaugural Azure Productions Award for Best Rainbow Short. Rub Shoulders with filmmaker Alfie Dale when his film My Brother Is A Mermaid has its Aussie premiere right here at the festival.

Then at 8:45pm, come down to the first of our delightful two programmes about the joys and pitfalls of modern relationships when Love Bites 1 premieres at the festival. Programme highlights include My Planet from writer/director: Valery Carnoy about a baker in his fifties who suffers from failed love with his wife and Jealous Alan, from Director Martin Clark who is a guest of the festival and starring Kate Dickie (Game Of Thrones) about Alan who discovers his best friend Stuart and Angela are secretly dating only to find that jealousness drives him to foil it.

All sessions move inside if there’s rain; so there’s no chance of missing any fabulous shorts at Flickerfest over coming days and don’t forget there’s free parking from 7pm in the beachside carpark!
