Flickerfest Films at the Academy® Awards & Free Masterclass Perth

Huge congratulations to FLiCKERFEST 2016 alumni Stutterer and Bear Story for grabbing the Oscars® for short film and joining the prestigious list of this year’s Academy® Award winnersStutterer, directed by Ben Cleary took out Best Short Film (Live Action) and Best Short Film (Animated) went to the magical Bear Story, directed by Gabriel Osorio. The team behind Bear Story will be receiving a Presidential welcome in Chile as the first Chilean film to win a gold statue!

We are thrilled to have Stutterer included in our 2016 FLiCKERFEST National Tour tour screening in our International Program sessions along with a number of this year’s other Oscar® nominees. Check our tour program to see when we will be coming to you.

Short Film Masterclass in Perth

ImagePerth – As part of our Perth festivities, Flickerfest Director Bronwyn Kidd will be holding a masterclass to share her extensive knowledge of festival distribution strategies and marketing for short films in partnership with SAE Creative Media Institute and Screen West. Not to be missed if you are short filmmaker, trying to get your film out to the world, or a screen aficionado!

4-6PM this Friday, 4th March, at the SAE Creative Institute Campus in Northbridge. This is a free event and open to the public.
