  • The Fix-It-Man And The Fix-It-Wooman

    In the “bright lights, big city of Alice Springs”, two soft sculptures try to impress each other with their dance moves. But it’s an unfortunate accident that finally brings them together as they discover they both have a talent for fixing things. Artwork by the Yarrenyty Arltere Artists, renowned for their beautiful soft sculptures, comes alive in this gentle funny tale of love and connection.

    Milan, 21, is a talented Kurdish singer, currently auditioning for a major singing competition. When Milan hears her father has left their family for another woman, she’s expected to plead with him to return home. All Milan wants is to make her own choices in life, and with this audition, for her mother, Emine, not to sabotage her. Distracted, Milan almost messes up the audition, but Emine – for once – comes to her rescue, giving Milan the courage she needs to sing powerfully.

    Our heroine juggles her chaotic #momlife and blossoming Mommy social media Vlog. Walking the line between her real self and her social media self. Her and her husband get a surprise – she is pregnant. Again. With baby #3. They’re both overjoyed but the juggle becomes more of a struggle when morning sickness, constant nausea and fatigue set in. On one particularly difficult morning her son grabs her phone as she is attempting to record her Vlog. The very real, raw and not so perfect mom moment is accidentally uploaded to her channel in all the chaos. The next morning when she realizes what happened, she is mortified. How her followers react, may just be her biggest surprise yet.
