The Flickerfest tour is well and truly on the road!
A huge thank you to our wonderful Mullumbimby and Byron Shire audiences for filling the Mullumbimby Civic Hall across three big days and nights of Flickerfest screenings 26-28th Feb.
Our FlickerLab on tour served up an intimate and illuminating ‘Shorts to Long Form Content’ workshop featuring acclaimed director and actor Wayne Blair in conversation with Flickerfest Director Bronwyn Kidd. Wayne generously shared insights from his journey from short films to directing acclaimed features including The Sapphires and Top End Wedding, making for an inspiring afternoon for local filmmakers and film lovers alike.
The weekend also celebrated the 21st Byron All Shorts Northern Rivers Short Film Competition, which screened to a capacity crowd on Saturday afternoon, showcasing 11 outstanding local films.
Congratulations to all of the finalists and to our 2026 award winners announced on the night!
Next Stops On The Flickerfest National Tour This March: Nambour, Gold Coast, Armidale, Kempsey, Port Macquarie and Sawtell…
