The  Flickerfest 2024 trailer presents our very own take on the hilarious and much loved story of Muriel, making her biggest dream come true, as she goes behind the scenes and on a journey from Porpoise Spit to Flickerfest Bondi, to present a short film like no other.

We’re so excited to present the collaboration of an incredible talented team for our unique trailer: ‘Muriel’s Wedding’, a film that has carved its unique place in the Australian imagination, celebrating 30 years in cinema history in 2024.

We have so many talented crew to thank including: writer Gerard Dewhurst, co writer, director and Flickerfest alumni, Ruby Challenger (Mumlife, Hyde,Daily Bread), producer Catherine Van Der Rijt (Hard Sell, Packed to the Rafters, and Half Sisters) Music producer, composer and song writer,  Sophia Christopher, cinematographer Benjamin Bellette and more….

Our Muriel was delightfully played by Nathalie Morris, accompanied by her sassy best friend Rhonda, played by Asher Yasbincek.
