Happy Easter to all film-loving fans far and wide.  The Flickerfest Tour will be taking a wee break over the Easter long weekend   But never fear, we have plenty in store for you this week and across April as the Flickerfest National Tour continues!

We had an incredible time last week as we landed at HOTA on the Gold Coast, at the Thornton Theatre in Narrogin and the Empire Theatre in Toowoomba.

At HOTA on the Gold Coast we welcomed Luisa Martiri from Pools, Katherine Chediak Putnam from Inferno,  Angus Wilkinson, director of The Exit Plan, Stephen Lance and Madeleine Allen from Torch Song and BAMA director Jahvis Loveday as they shared their stories in a Q and A with local audiences after the screening.

At the Thornton Theatre in Narrogin on Friday evening, Perth animator Radheya Jegathava was present with his father, producer Jay Jay Jegathesan for their short Painting By Numbers screening as part of the Best of Australian Shorts programme.  They were joined at the screening by Tina Fielding, the Perth based writer and star of the delightful and moving WA film Sparkles who was also in attendance.

On Saturday evening the Flickerfest Tour headed to The Empire Theatre in Toowoomba. We were thrilled that Producer Kristie Yates and lead actor Kyle McCallion from Brissie smash-hit comedy Smashed came along  joining in a Q & A with Bronwyn Kidd following the screening of their film to a packed house.Catch up on all the fun of the Flickerfest tour and check out our pics on Flickerfest facebook.
