Flickerfest tour heads to Tasmania and Adelaide!

This is a busy week for the Flickerfest tour with three events across Tasmania, Maryborough in Queensland and Adelaide in SA. We are delighted to include in the programme in Launceston, Hobart and Adelaide the AcademyAward® winning Mr Hublot, which recently won the Best Short Animation Oscar® giving our audiences a rare opportunity to see the film.

In addition to the screenings, Hobart and Launceston are hosting free seminars to give students and emerging filmmakers an opportunity to find out more about understand the trends and tastes of the festival circuit in 2014. In Launceston on Wednesday 26th March, Festival Director Bronwyn Kidd and ABC Open Producer Troy Melville will talk about short films from production through to festival strategies at the Annex Theatre at 5.15pm, prior to the screening. In Hobart, Wide Angle are hosting a seminar for filmmakers with Bronwyn Kidd, who will take them through devising a strategy for the festival circuit, marketing short films and distribution, also starting at 5.15pm.
