LAST SCREENING’S OF THE OFFICIAL COMPETITIONS

Tuesday is day four at Flickerfest and promises to be yet another fantastic collection of shorts that aren’t to be missed.

At 6:30PM Our Best Of International Shorts 4 programme features The Cockroach a moving tale based on the film makers own life and the beautiful Hearts of Stone about two statues in love, starring Swedish actress Noomi Rapace (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo). 

At 9PM don’t miss our outdoor screening of the Best Of Australian Shorts 6, featuring the World Premiere of Pending Pick Up about friends Bethany and Miles who go on a rainy weekend  adventure picking up Marketplace bargains and The Sax about a prodigious young saxophonist who discovers an unexpected truth about his teacher, and then about himself. At 6:30PM celebrate films from across the globe at the Best Of International Shorts 5, screening at  Bondi Pavilion. Highlights include German film Crust, currently shortlisted for an Oscar, about a boy, whose family who put him to the test to become a man and South African film, Punter where Brett participates in a seemingly harmless horse racing bet which ends up potentially jeopardizing a surprise he’s prepared for his Father’s birthday.

BEST OF AUSTRALIAN SHORTS 7

At 9PM, join us under the stars at the Bondi Pavilion for our final Australian programme in competition, Best Of Australian Shorts 7. Be the first to see World Premiere of The Perfect Shot where a renowned photographer gives a masterclass to a student who couldn’t care less and Housekeepers where a tween has to come into adulthood prematurely due to her Japanese mother hitting a roadblock.
